Borewells Bring Clean Water to Villages in Odisha and Tamil Nadu

Access to safe drinking water has been a long-standing challenge for tribal villages in Odisha. Divine Light has successfully installed 110 borewells, (100 borewells in Odisha and 10 borewells in Tamil Nadu) ensuring clean, reliable water for hundreds of families.

Before this intervention, children and women often walked several kilometers to fetch unsafe water. Today, these borewells mean better health, improved hygiene, and more children attending school instead of spending hours carrying water pots.

One community member expressed: “Now we drink water without fear of sickness, and our daughters go to school on time.”
