When the recent cyclone struck Chennai, it left hundreds of families struggling for basic necessities — food, shelter, and clean water. In the midst of the devastation, Divine Light Movement Charitable Trust stepped forward to provide immediate relief to the most affected communities.

Through coordinated efforts with local volunteers and supporters, the Trust distributed ration kits, groceries, and essential supplies to over 350 families in cyclone-hit areas around Pattabiram and Thiruvallur.

Each kit contained rice, pulses, oil, and other daily essentials — small items that made a big difference to families who had lost everything overnight.

Beyond emergency aid, Divine Light continues to assess long-term recovery needs, ensuring that vulnerable groups — including women, children, and the elderly — receive ongoing support. “We saw tears turn into smiles,” shared one volunteer. “That’s what keeps us going.”

The Trust remains committed to standing beside communities during crises, offering not just material help but also hope and dignity. This initiative reflects the heart of Divine Light’s mission — to uplift, restore, and bring light to those facing life’s darkest moments.

Together, we rebuild stronger communities — one family at a time.
